PailoKhabar is a national digital news outlet, published from Dhangadhi and reporting from all seven provinces of Nepal: Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali and Sudurpaschim.

Kathmandu-based media rarely give the rest of the country the space its problems and possibilities deserve. A bridge washed away by a monsoon river, a health post that has run out of medicine, a dispute over the paddy support price — these are stories that only reporters on the ground can place in their proper context. We exist to close that gap.

Our editorial policy

• Fact-based reporting. We do not publish a claim without naming its source.
• We correct errors, and we say plainly that a correction was made.
• Advertising is kept separate from editorial. Sponsored content is labelled.
• We withhold identifying details of victims, children, and those involved in cases of sexual violence.
